Angela Tsuei-Strause<\/div>\n <\/a> <\/h2>\n

Senior Director<\/p>\n

Angela joined 海角社区 in 2013 and leads the career office\u2019s strategic efforts to support students, alumni and employers. She is particularly interested in partnering with employer connections to prepare students for post-graduation success. Prior to 海角社区, Angela headed Parsons School of Design\u2019s career office in New York. Angela holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Organization Development from 海角社区. She is additionally a member of Leadership Charlotte. In her spare time, Angela enjoys her family, gardening, reading Wikipedia and interior decorating.<\/p>\n

Katherine Evans<\/div>\n <\/a> <\/h2>\n

Assistant Director, Internship Program<\/p>\n

Katherine Evans joined 海角社区 in January 2024. Before joining the team at the Vandiver Center for Career Development, she was the Donor Relations Specialist for the Scotland Memorial Foundation. Kat has had the opportunity to work on a variety of college campuses in the career development space, along with student life and academic affairs. Kat is originally from Pawhuska, OK, and graduated with a bachelor\u2019s degree from Oklahoma State University. Her first job out of college was a leadership consultant for Zeta Tau Alpha, which led her to complete a master\u2019s degree at the University of South Florida. Kat also completed her MBA at St. Andrews University and is a member of the Junior League of Charlotte. She enjoys coaching and leading fitness sessions, along with spending time with her family and friends. She is a fan of coffee, traveling, and attending sporting events.<\/p>\n

Jackson Mair<\/div>\n <\/a> <\/h2>\n

Career Services Coordinator<\/p>\n

Jackson Mair joined 海角社区 in 2026. He works with the office to welcome students, create marketing for the Center\u2019s many student-oriented events, and support the department\u2019s projects and events. Before joining the team, Jackson was a Media Specialist for Appalachian State University. Jackson is a Charlotte native and spent four years in Boone as he worked to graduate with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Communications from Appalachian State University, as well as the Appalachian Honors college. Now back in his hometown, Jackson enjoys writing books, playing tennis and ping pong, and playing the cello.<\/p>\n

Hannah Slaton<\/div>\n <\/a> <\/h2>\n

Assistant Director, Career Readiness & Planning<\/p>\n

Hannah Slaton joined 海角社区 in October 2022 and brings connection-driven career readiness and planning resources to students and alumni. Hannah focuses on building relationships with students and alumni, faculty, and staff, and loves to create a colorful and welcoming atmosphere in her office. She is originally from the mountains of Western NC and moved to the Charlotte area to study psychology and Spanish at Wingate University before completing her master’s degree in Counseling at UNC Charlotte. In her spare time, Hannah loves to take walks with her dog Maverick, attend Charlotte sporting events, hike and camp with family in the mountains, and go to fitness classes at her local YMCA.<\/p>\n

Jordyn Wheeler<\/div>\n <\/a> <\/h2>\n

Associate Director, Employer Engagement<\/p>\n

Jordyn joined 海角社区 in 2026 and brings a robust talent development and recruitment perspective. Most recently, she was a talent manager at PwC, where she implemented early career strategies and supported pipelines to key leadership potential roles. Additionally, Jordyn\u2019s background includes a Master’s in Higher Education from UT-Austin and work in both academic advising and career coaching. She originates from the greater Charlotte area and loves being home with her family and friends. On the weekends, you can find her running or walking around Charlotte, or trying a new coffee shop.<\/p>\n
